Other than it being my sole argument for anyone who thinks Eugene does not love Rapunzel.

Yeah, he died for her. That may not be enough for people.

This, though. Just look.

At first, it’s a ‘Oh yay, hugs! I think I’ve decided I like hugs! Haven’t had many, but this one is real nice!’

Then the realization hits. “Oh. Hey. She’s okay. She’s not going to spend her life healing the old lady and be locked away from the world anymore.” And he hugs her tighter.

And his eyebrows. “She’s okay she’s okay she’s okay she’s okay.”

The way his eyebrows lower. Eugene has an extremely expressive face. One may argue that the tightening is for her benefit. But that does not explain his mostly hidden expression. It’s just so well done and so incredibly beautiful and I applaud whoever plotted this scene.

I would continue, but the rest of my thoughts are basically “MY FEELS!” and “MY PRECIOUS BBY!” and all sorts of other phrases Tumblr has taught me when I forget how to can.
